This course will look at the different stages of romantic relationships. It will seek to increase understanding of attraction and how early attachment plays into our choice for a mate. This course will give the clinician tools for conceptualizing what the strengths and challenges are in the relationship when working with couples and identify techniques for helping couples create healthier more loving bonds with their partner.

Identify psychological underpinnings of attraction
Identify what goes wrong in relationships that creates distance and pain
Present tools that clinicians can use with the couples they are treating to create healthier attachment and intimacy
