This workshop equips school mental health professionals with the tools to proactively prevent child sexual abuse in school settings. Participants will learn how to foster a culture of safety, implement effective hiring practices, and support staff and students. Topics will include understanding child sexual abuse, recognizing disclosures, maintaining healthy boundaries, and addressing peer-to-peer interactions. Legal responsibilities, best practices for intervention, and research-based prevention strategies will also be covered. This interactive session will provide practical tools to empower school staff to create safer student environments. This workshop will empower school mental health professionals to proactively safeguard students while providing vital support to staff and administrators.
